Today was uneventful... work, after work did a couple of errands and went with the bride to pick out decorations for her engagement party on Saturday... now I'm home and did think about going on the treadmill for an uphill walk... but I'm tired and it's getting later... so I will forego the evening walk.
Here's what I've eaten today:
BF - 1c special k (3), 1/2c skim milk (1), clementines (1)
Lunch - tuna (2), allegro cheese (1), 3 tbsp ff italian (0), romaine (0), cucumber (0), grape tomatoes (0), green onion (0), red pepper (0), source exotik yogurt (1), apple (1), 100 calorie pack cheese crackers (2)
Dinner - chicken breast grilled (3), chick peas (2), steamed broccoli, green beans and peas (0), with frank's hot sauce and garlic (0), fibre 1 chocolate (2), SF pudding (1), hostess 100 cal cakes (2)
Good luck to Tara and me tomorrow! I will try to get on in the morning and post my obligatory good luck post... but I have to leave an hour early tomorrow as I'm in a seminar all day that is from 8-4 (rather than my banker's 9-5 hours).

Work is busy... what else is new. But, my parent group was enjoyable again tonight AND we wrapped up 15min early (BONUS!). I get home and find a little threatening letter from SickKids... I haven't finished my performance objectives... haven't had my N95 mask fitting this year... haven't had my TB testing this year...haven't had my crisis intervention training... haven't had my CPR updated... and haven't provided proof of my membership with our counselor association place. If i don't produce these things, I can forget my job. NICE. it sucks. I'm going to likely have to take time off work to get all this done for sickkids. for now though, they are worth it. I can find somewhere to do my CPR on a weekend... can send my association membership stuff in no problem... can get my TB testing done at my doctor's office (or walk in clinic maybe?)... can email my performance objectives over the weekend... just have to take a day off work and get my crisis training renewed. still, it was not nice walking home to this mail. I dream of a day when I don't need a 2nd or 3rd job.

Let's recap my day, shall we?
Woke up, ate breakfast, went on the treadmill for 45min, made dinner to take to work, cleaned up, had a shower, ate lunch, went to work... worked...
.... came home, found out TARA IS ENGAGED!!! and I have the honour of being in the wedding!!!
Got off the phone with Tara and called my mom and Alex while I made tomorrow's lunch and dinner (yep, another late Tuesday of course tomorrow)... and here we are.
SO, here's what I ate today:
BF - fibre 1 bar, chocolate (2), blackberries (1), granola bites (2) - such a healthy breakfast.
Lunch - Sante Fe Rice and beans smart ones (6)
Snack - cadbury thins (2)
Dinner - 1/2c chick peas (2), red pepper (0), green onion (0), cucumber (0), grape tomatoes (0), allegro cheese (1), 3 tbsp ff italian (0), romaine (0), apple (1), yogurt (1), hostes 100 calorie cakes (2)

Fibre 1 bars are now available in Canada!!!
Yesterday was spent going to Hamilton to see this adorable little guy (note how happy he looks to be in my arms... he was preoccupied with wanting to grab my shiny camera)
I could have done better yesterday. I managed to get on the treadmill for 45min before my parents picked me up to take me with them to Hamilton... I had chicken chili for lunch with a WW bagel at my sister's... THEN came the desserts. Michele had made 100 calorie brownies (100 calories before the pecans and icing!), I had 2 of those... and my mom bought these 'millionaire squares' things that were shortbread base with caramel and chocolate on top. I had 1 of those... all together, not so bad considering i went on the treadmill. we ate at like 3pm and I was home by 7pm and munched all freakin evening. I lost track of what I was munching on at some point.
Today, got up and went grocery shopping... came back and cleaned the bathroom and the floors... then had a nap... and eventually went on the treadmill (that's 3 days in a row! woohoo!). I decided to mix it up a little and this evening i walked on an incline for an hour rather than jog.
Here's what I've eaten today (I've had major snack attacks yesterday AND today):
BF - blackberries (1), light POM tea (1), granola bites (2)
Snack - cheesestring (1), quaker crispy delights (2), 100 calorie crackers (2)
Lunch - broccoli soup (1), allegro cheese (1), 2 tbsp ff sour cream (1), ww bagel (2), 2 tbsp cream cheese (1), 2 dill pickles (0), hostess cupcakes (2), ww caramel cake (1)
Dinner - steamed 2 oz chicken breast (2), beans, peas, and broccoli (0), SF pudding (1)

This is me today:
Actually - here is me. I took progress photos on Wed night... so here I am. I still have a good way to go, but at least I'm getting there!
BF - flatout (1), egg (2), 2 egg whites (0), 2 tbsp light cheez whiz (1), 1 tbsp salsa (0), 1 tbsp ff sour cream (0)
Lunch - VERY BAD LUNCH. I gave in to some cravings and decided to count it as my lunch, rather than just eating it as snacks. we have - 4 ww cakes, yep FOUR of them (4), 100 calorie hostess cakes (2), granola bites (1). this is over the course of the whole morning, but it added up so it became lunch.
Dinner - SUSHI BUFFET!!! at Maison Du Japon
I also managed to get on the treadmill for an ENTIRE hour today!! I LOVE days off!!! Chicklet doesn't like my days off - she got a bath today. I've also done some cleaning and now will head out for an hour or 2 of shopping/errands!!

Down 3.8lbs, thank you very much! My holiday weight is GONE for GOOD! Now on to losing the rest of it!!! It would be GREAT if I could lose this much every week. Unfortunately, I am human and it's not likely to keep up this trend (I do LOVE food after all).
Now, on to what I've eaten today:
BF - breakfast burrito featuring flatout bread (1), allegro cheese (1), blue menu ketchup (0), egg (2), egg whites x2 (0).
Snack - 2 clementines (1)
Lunch - no lunch today. damn work.
Dinner - turkey sub - the BIG one! (12)
Snack - chocolate vitalicious muffin (1), 100 calorie pack of some sorts (2)

I will tell you this - I woke up with a big headache and so i went back to sleep rather than go on the treadmill. what can you do? at this point i don't even feel like going to work and talking all day thanks to this headache... but i've taken advil and will pray!

It's the day before weigh in and I went out to dinner... something that terrifies me! Overall I think I did fairly well today though.
I went on the treadmill this morning.
BF - ww bagel (2), 2 tbsp light cream cheese (1), apple (1)
Lunch - romaine (0), allegro cheese (1), 3 oz chicken (3), 2 tbsp ff italian (0), broccoli soup (1), yogurt (1)
Dinner at Boston Pizza - baked lemon salmon fillet that comes with a side salad of mixed greens and raspberry vinaigrette. I only ate 1/2 the vinaigrette that comes with it. but according to the website the dinner is (6)
I guess I allowed more points than I needed to for dinner tonight... but I wasn't hungry when I got home and haven't eaten anything else. I anticipated more points at dinner (i'm just realizing all of this now as i'm recapping my day). oh well. if i were hungry now it would be an issue... but somehow i'm not hungry.
my next challenge is going to be to NOT binge tomorrow after weigh in! I have a gizillion 100 calorie packs from the states and i have done sooooo much better at NOT indulging this time!!!
Also, on lunch today Jess and I went to check out the NEW walmart SUPERSTORE in oshawa! (stevenson and 401 - exit stevenson and go north and BOOM - there it is on your left hand side). i bought more of those vitalicious muffins. I have cranberry already and i bought chocolate ones and blueberry ones - all still 1pt each! I haven't tried any but Jess had one at lunch and said it was really really good!! I wish I hadn't forgotten them in my trunk now...

No treadmill today... which unfortunately comes as no surprise to me. Tuesdays are so hard to find motivation.
Here's what I've eaten:

Snack - ff swiss miss hot chocolate from the US (1)
Lunch - baby romaine (0), tuna (1), allegro cheese (1), balsamic hellman's spritzer (0), silhouette mousse stuff (1), 1c broccoli soup (1), 100 calorie hostess cakes (2)
Dinner - US ww bagel (2), 1 tbsp blue menu almond butter (2), 1 tbsp jam (1), cheese string (1), granola bites (2)
It's too hard to eat all of my points on Tuesdays... I can only pack so much and my dinner has to be able to be eaten in the car on the way to group... oh well, i'm sure it balances out the weekend a little bit (hopefully). I also don't eat when I get home because i'm TRYING not to eat past 8pm!!

There isn't much to report... I did get on the treadmill for a 45min jog this morning. Then I went to work and stopped at the grocery store tonight to get lettuce... and I found the granola bites that I got in the states last time!! They're by Quaker and were at dominion around the granola bars. they're 90 calories a pack. They only had the cinnamon ones on the shelf, but I could see they were sold out of chocolate ones as well... now we just need to get the peanut butter ones in Canada!
here's what i ate today:
BF - ww bagel (2) with 1 tbsp light cheez whiz (1)
Lunch - flatout wrap (1), chicken thigh (3), light cheez whiz (1), broccoli soup (1), crunch stixx (2), ww caramel cake (1)
Snack - cup a soup spring vegetable (1), 2pc ww bread (1), 1 tbsp low fat JIF PB (2)
Dinner - baby spinach (0), tuna (1), allegro cheese (1), cucumber, red onion, red pepper (0), 2 tbsp ff italian (0). source exotik yogurt (1). apple (1). 100 cal hostess carrot cakes (2).
I was starving by the time I got home, but have somehow resisted snacking (although I had the points for it, I'm trying NOT to eat after 8pm still... which hasn't been happening much lately).
Tomorrow will likely be a short post again, as it's my VERY long working day... but I will at least post my menu!!

well, I went shopping with the bride today in Tonawanda. we got to david's bridal and it was 11:50(ish), but they didn't open until 12... so instead of waiting we went across the street to wegman's to eat at their market place... then we went GROCERY SHOPPING (oh yes, hello 100 calorie packs... thank GOD i didn't spend as much as I did when I went shopping with Tara!). I DID make sure I bought FOUR bags of flatout wraps (i have rationed them since my last trip with tara and am SO happy I can eat more now!). Of COURSE i got TONS of crystal light... so much so that I don't think i even NEED to drink any from canada... i still had so much left from when i went shopping with tara... and STILL bought MORE today. I also got my mom a CASE of fuze slenderize (yes tara, I learned from our last trip - much much easier to buy a case than just buy them all loose!).
anyway, i we went to david's bridal and were lucky enough to get a lady to help... and jess found her dress!!! it looks gorgeous on her... it was a fun day! we were going to head straight home after that... but stopped at the mall right across the street (boulevard mall)... where i just happened to know there was a certain store i was interested in.
soooo... to the store we go! I got all moisturizing soaps this time... i got 2 kitchen lemon, midnight pomegranate, country apple, moonlight path (alex's favourite), tropical passionfruit, and coconut lime. they were on sale 7 soaps for $20!!!!! i thought about buying 7 more soaps... but decided to show some self restraint. i also bought a bunch of moisturizers (6 for $20), plus a couple of travel size moisturizers, plus a couple of anti bacterial moisturizers (they look like small hand lotion containers but they're anti bacterial!). when the lady rang up my total it was over $100... but then she tallied in the discounts from all the sales... HELLOOOO it was only $55!!! i can't wait to go again. why is this though? i have more soap than i know what to do with... but i can't wait to have more. i know why this is... because tara got me HOOKED and now i HOURDE!!!!

Lunch - turkey whole wheat wrap with cheese, lettuce, pepper, and mustard (7 tops?)
Dinner - bourbon chicken (5? we'll say 6), broccoli and beans (2 because i don't know what they were cooked in).
Snack - ww caramel cake from the states (1), 100 cal pepperidge farm chocolate chip cookies (2), crunchy stix (1)
I'd say I controlled myself pretty well today. no treadmill though. BUT at dinner i did NOT have noodles or rice with the chicken... I opted for chicken that was grilled and not BREADED or anything... AND had vegetables as my sides! score one for me!!!
Last night I ended up going out for boys' night and went to the pub. when i found out i was going out i DID make myself get on the treadmill and pulled off a 45min jog! THEN i did have beer and perogies while we were out though. oh well... this is life.

The week is young... I have most of the week ahead of me... I have the potential to make this the greatest week yet with the results I dream of. Why am I sitting on the computer and NOT getting myself on the treadmill? I will get there...
I'm having a slower start today. But hey, it's Saturday. We rush the rest of the week, we're all entitled to a lazier morning. Basically I got up and had a HUGE breakfast (I don't know WHY i was so hungry when i woke up), made broccoli soup for the week, did the dishes... and by the time i was done alex back from the barber ready to go to COSTCO (yay!!!) and out to lunch. So, we're done that... it's already almost 4pm and no treadmill yet. My plan is to get a movie in and just spend the entire movie on the treadmill (don't ask which movie - I haven't decided that yet! i need something motivating with skinny people!).
Here's what I've had today:
BF - US ww bagel (2), 1tbsp light garden cream cheese (1)... followed by strawberry special k krispy bites (2)... followed even MORE by 2c fruity cheerios (3) and 1c skim milk (2). HOLY HUNGRY BREAKFAST!
Lunch - DENNY'S fit fare veggie egg beater omelette (6) and 2pc dry whole wheat toast (3)
Dinner (planned)- broccoli soup 2c likely (2)... not sure what else, but I will come back and update!
I'm on my own for the evening and plan on getting some much-needed cleaning done... and maybe some time on the stairmaster (yes, treadmill and stairmaster in one day... i'm such a big dreamer!).
also, i have potentially picked a dress for my friend's wedding that i'm in. she picked the designer (alfred angelo) and the colour is eggplant. We went looking on lunch yesterday and this is my favourite at this point:
Opinions, please!?! I am second guessing myself. Of course I didn't try it on at the store because I don't fit into the size 6 sample they have. I worry though that this dress may not look good on a big-boobed girl (namely, ME). BUT, I'm not ordering the dress until March... so I figure I can lose 20-30lbs by then and see what I look like closer to my goal weight (and then make sure I REACH my goal weight by the summer when I need alterations).
I welcome (and really really would like) anyone who has time to look at the alfred angelo website and see if there's a bridesmaid dress that would look better on me (in their opinion) - TARA! you have a sense of fashion. me? not so much! and alex will just give me the good boyfriend "you will look good in anything" response!!
Also, I have updated my ticker for a new goal. I need to reach that goal by the end of March when I order my dress. That is in 10 weeks. It will be hard, but it CAN (and WILL) be done. NO more messing around. No more excuses.

I was up 0.8lbs. At least it wasn't a full pound. This is what I get for bingeing all weekend and not making up for it with my activity this week. After a rotten day at work and a rough week in general... I should expect nothing else.
The bad news is this is NOT how i am going to get to my goal weight by the spring.
The good news is tomorrow starts a new week and I have a game plan for the treadmill thanks to what I was reading on Mrs. Furious' blog - i'm WALKING this week!! I feel good about it. i tend to find walking boring... but at 6am I'm thinking i'll find it less discouraging than jogging...it's worth a try
My plan this weekend (besides shopping across the border) is to make my mom's point-friendly broccoli soup!

Let's just start fresh next week, shall we? After the weekend my food has been great... the problem is in the fact that I have ZERO energy and want to sleep all the time when I'm home. This is nothing new... periodically you get these complaints from me where I have a lack of energy (maybe I should increase my iron when this happens? hmm... food for thought).
I slept in today... just like yesterday. The difference with today is at least I got home at a decent time tonight and was able to do "running up the stairs" on the stairmaster for 20 min... holy CRAP that is tiring. My legs are SORE now! I just didn't feel like the treadmill tonight.
Tomorrow's WI day! I have a fear I didn't lose the 2.2lbs I wanted to this week... but time will tell.

There just aren't enough hours in the day for everything I'd like to accomplish sometimes. At least it's monday and I appear to have my eating back in order. I intended on going on the stairmaster tonight, but alas... parent group stuff manipulated my time when I got home from my full time job at 8:30.
I did, at least, get on the treadmill today. That's pretty much all of the excitment I've had! I worked all afternoon and some tonight. I stopped just long enough to watch one of my favourite shows (Jon and Kate plus 8).
My eating is back on track. See for yourself

Since I left you yesterday I have done nothing but EAT. I don't even know where to start... I didn't have structured meals... just snacked all day... and that can lead to disasters.
My plans didn't go accordingly today... no costco.
here's what i've eaten (from what i remember!)
BF - egg (2), egg whites (0), US ww bagel (2), cheese slice (1), blackberries (1)
Lunch - ww tortilla (1), morningstar farms tomato and basil pizza burger (2), lactantia salsa cream cheese 1 tbsp (1), ff cottage cheese and fruit cup (2), pudding (1), all bran bites (1)
Dinner - steamed bok choy and mushrooms (0)
SNACKS?... oh boy. 2 100 calorie bars (4), ww tortilla with cream cheese and dill pickles (2), ww cakes (3), 100 calorie packs (4)
So yes, I would say I used FLEX points today. blah, i hate doing that. this is NOT how i'm going to lose the rest of my christmas weight this week!!
the good news is, i still have mon, tues, wed, and 1/2 of thurs to recover. i also went on the treadmill AND the stair climber today... that's got to help some!
here's hoping tomorrow will be better!!! once i'm back to my weekday routine i typically don't struggle. i just have to aim to get on the treadmill mon-thurs this week!! i think i can do it.

It started last week with the new 100 calorie bars
Then yesterday I read THIS on Tara's Blog!! So, of course I had to see if they were in Toronto as well. Alex graciously offered to take me to Loblaws after we were done dinner at Montana's at 8pm. What do you know? Take a look:
How exciting is this?? I have done a thorough comparison. Canadian ones weigh 10 g less than the US ones... have 1 g more fat, and a bit less fibre. When you look at them side by side, they appear the same size basically (in my opinion). The Canadian ones do seem softer, less dense (probably where the weight difference lies), and more fresh. PLUS, they are 100% whole wheat... something I love. Oh yes. Happy day!!
ALSO, do you LOVE Craving's Waist Watcher Cheesecakes? On their website they are advertising that they are NOW sold at COSTCO!!! Seriously? We are going to Costco tomorrow and I fully intend on looking for them!
I've been enjoying buying all these treats so much that I decided to put them in a treat bowl and keep them on display. Quite a temptation for me... but I like seeing them all sitting out and knowing I'm walking by them. Here's my treat bowl with Reese 100 cal bars, Reese 100 cal snackster packs, 50 cal nerds boxes, 80 cal dark chocolate kit kat bars, and 80 cal packs of real fruit orchard flavours.

I'm declaring today a day of snacking - besides what i've already listed, I've had:
2 cheesecakes (2), 1pc ww bread (0)and 1 tbsp ff cream cheese (1) with a baby dill (0), blackberries (1), real fruit minis (2), kit kat singles (2)
While I'm thinking about it though - I bought Lactantia Mediterranean salsa light cream cheese. It's 30 cal for 1 tbsp. It is really good! what a yummy spicy kick it has!
Another thing I came across yesterday was 100 calorie packs of cheese crackers (Tara, I thought of YOU and your love of crackers!). They're by Leclerc and I found them at Reid's dairy in Whitby (on one of the shelves in the middle of the store).
Today's plans are to relax on the couch with a movie, then go on the treadmill, then this evening do some MUCH NEEDED cleaning!! I'll be back to update my menu throughout the day! Happy Saturday and happy point friendly shopping everyone!

Only 2.4lbs left to get my Christmas weight off... I am planning to accomplish that one week from tonight!

I saved so many points for dinner because i wasn't sure what i would have... turns out, when we got there i felt strong and got the mahi mahi and on top of that, asked them to hold the rice pilaf and got more bok choy with it instead (loving bok choy by the way - never had it!). and i didn't get home until now (well, 8:30) so it's too late to have a snack. oddly enough though, i'm not hungry. dinner was fun too - my friend got a hamburger with sweet potato fries... i found myself almost reaching over and grabbing one of her fries (because that is what i would do if it were alex!)

I think I need to download that Helen Reddy song. my mom used to play that record all the time when we were kids "I am woman, hear me roar". I'm going to do that right now in fact (while I type my blog).
do you ever get those McDonalds flyers in the mail? the ones with the delicious looking fries? those get me every time... especially when i have a 24hr drive thru around the corner. luckily i don't have enough desire to LEAVE to go get them now that i'm finally home. mcdonalds always makes me think of highschool. back in the day there wasn't many options for where go head out to on spare and lunch in Lindsay... sometimes we would head to McDonalds... and TARA loved ketchup as much as me and would always get more than one (or two) containers full of ketchup. Ahhh memories!
Anyway, no treadmill this morning. I actually DID attempt it... but my stomach was having issues and would not cooperate (I think I had nerves due to my new parent group starting tonight). BUT I didn't go back to bed... i forced myself to try it at least. SOOOO, today was my day off (treadmill has happened sat, sun, and mon... and will now happen wed and thurs too!).
my food was fine today
BF - oatmeal (2), almonds (2), and flaxseed meal (0)
Lunch - lettuce (0), salmon (3), tomato and cucumber (0), hellman's spritzer (0), allegro cheese (1). ff cottage cheese fruit cup (2)
Dinner - ww bagel (2), BOCA cheeseburger (2), cheese slice (1). carrots and radish (0), ff sour cream dip (1)
okay, i know i've eaten more than 16 points today... but i'm drawing a blank about what. typically i do eat less on tuesdays when i'm not home for dinner and have to rely on packing lunch and dinner though...
damn presidential stuff... i also missed the biggest loser tonight because of it! saw who went home on the east coast time zone channel... but i missed all the good working out and diet tips! oh well, next week maybe!
Tomorrow I'm going out for dinner... hopefully it all goes well considering it's the day before WI!!

I was productive today and it felt GREAT! (note to self - try to remember this when your alarm goes off at 5:30 tomorrow and the holidays are over and you cannot keep hitting SNOOZE!). I have Monday mornings off... so i slept in until 9am (this sleeping in phase has just started to develop since Christmas. i HATE my alarm clock right now). i got up, had breakfast, hit the treadmill, made dinner to take to work, made lunch, and headed to work! That's my day in a nutshell. I came home from work and made my lunch and dinner for tomorrow, since it's a longer day again.
BF- weight control oatmeal (2), 6 almonds (1), a few raisins (1)
Lunch - ww tortilla (1), cheese slice (1), lettuce (0), ff cottage cheese and fruit cup (2)
Dinner - lettuce (0), 2 oz chicken breast (2), allegro cheese 30g (1), 2 tbsp ff Italian (0), cucumber (0), grape tomatoes (0), red onion (0). carrots and radishes (0), ff sour cream dip 2 tbsp (1). yogurt (1). pear (1)
Damn... I just realized I got busy when I got home and didn't end up eating a snack... I guess I could have packed more for dinner. Typically I would eat more for lunch but I was in such a hurry today!
Time for bed so that I WILL get up and go on the treadmill tomorrow!!

well, unfortunately what you DIDN'T read about last night was me waking up CRAVING those 100 calorie bars I had bought. I gave in. Want to know how many I ate? Believe me... you DON'T. But I will tell you it was more than 4 but less than 6. This is on TOP of the 2 I had eaten earlier in the night. Those boxes are now safely hidden out of my sight. Hopefully I can forget they are there. Honestly, I don't know WHY i buy these things... they really only cause me problems.
The GOOD news is I've been on the treadmill today for longer than I had planned... what was initially going to be a half hour walk turned into a 1hr jog... so I'm pleased with that.
Tonight I have to start calling the parents for my next parent group. I've committed to 12 more weeks... why do i do that? MONEY. Honestly, that's the only reason. SickKids is also calling... I better start taking shifts there again too if I want to keep that job!
Here's what I've had today:
Brunch - ww bagel (2), 2 BOCA patties (2), 1 egg (2), egg whites (1), 2 ff cheese slices (1), blue menu ketchup (0), organic apple (1)
Snack mid-afternoon: 2 100 calorie bars (4), ff cottage cheese fruit cup (2), 10 whole grain triscuits (2), cheese string (1)
Dinner - 2 oz chicken breast (2), broccolini (0), peas (0). yogurt (1), pudding (1), mousse (1). 100 cal chips ahoy (2)
DONE for the DAY now... for REAL this time!!!!
I ask myself WHY I am so hungry... I think I have to train myself to have a decreased appetite... I had become conditioned to eating a LOT more over the holidays.
I was sitting on my butt looking through my US magazine last night and came across some jewelry I'd like to buy myself. I'm SURE it's supposed to be an engagement ring, but I don't care. It's too pretty NOT to be in my possession.

Snack - 8 organic baby carrots (0), 2 tbsp ff sour cream dip (1), cheese string (1)
Lunch - smart ones lasagna florentine (6)
Dinner - no official dinner. I've done nothing but snack all afternoon. pudding (2), 2pc ww bread (1), 2 ff cheese slices (1), granola bar (2), 3 triscuits and cream cheese (2), ff cottage cheese and fruit cup (2), 2 100 cal packs (4)
That is IT! I am DONE eating for today!!! I'm cut off!
Also - check out the new Walmart ad! We NOW have NEW 100 cal products here in Canada! Hershey's york mint patties, reese bars, and hershey bars!!!!! I'm going to head to Walmart at some point and check them out!
*ETA* Went to Walmart and got the 100 calorie bars. They had the wafter bars and the reese peanut butter bars. No york mint bars, but that's okay! I'm just glad we have these things coming to Canada! When are the WW bagels coming??
Last night Alex and I did a bunch of running around and were FINALLY heading to the food court to grab some dinner (poor Alex hadn't eaten all day and it was 8pm and he was STARVING). I happened to notice a new place in the food court called "grill it up!" As soon as I see "grill" in a name, i'm drawn to it. So, Alex and I went to check it out and while we were standing there looking at the menu I noticed a man waving, but assumed he was waving at someone else. Turns out, he was waving at my Alex... he's a former client and he owns the new grill it up! stores. He stood and chatted with Alex for a while and sold us on his restaurant... Alex gave him a business card (he didn't know Alex had his own firm now) and we were FINALLY able to order and get out of there and go EAT! I got 2 chicken skewers, basmati rice (with some butter chicken sauce - sooo good, but not healthy), and channa chick pea stuff. Since I had the owner there I took advantage of asking about the food... NOTHING is deep fried. it's all grilled and baked. He let me try the potatoes - YUM (although Alex thinks they should be baked a little longer). The chicken/steak/shrimp is precooked, but then they warm it on the grill for you as you order it... it smells like BBQ and looked so good (yes, by 8pm i was HUNGRY!).

I am so ready for the weekend! It's going to be somewhat QUIET and I cannot wait!! I have to do some work from home for my parent groups and that's the extent of it... I believe I have Saturday to myself and I fully intend on parking myself on the couch and watching chick flicks!!
You know you're ready for the weekend when your LAST appointment of the day starts off by telling you "I want to kill myself right now". (and you just KNOW that's what you should expect when you pick up this appointment at last minute as a favour to your coworker!). Regardless, I left work on time and here I am, waiting for Alex to get home so we can go run errands (helloooo treadmill oil!) and grab some dinner.
Also, I've decided something. One day I'm going to head up a better child/adolescent psychiatry program (in patient AND out patient) at the ROSS in LINDSAY! I was born there, I have a friend who works there... what could be better? I won't tell Alex of my plan... I don't think I'll get him to move any further east than Durham region! I will recruit my friend Irfan to be the child psychiatrist too.
Okay, now that my future is planned... let's discuss what I ate today.
BF (slept in!) - FF cottage cheese and fruit cup (2)
Lunch - cup a soup spring veg (1), organic romaine (0), tuna (2), allegro cheese 30g (1), grape tomato and cucumber (0), red wine hellman's spritzer (0), 2 baby dills (0), organic pear (1)
Dinner - FOOD COURT at FAIRVIEW MALL! woohoo! I actually don't mind this... I can make pretty healthy choices there really.

I was up 5.2lbs. Actually, I did expect to be up a bit more than that. My leader was telling me she weighed in a lady at her meeting last night and the lady gained 5lbs over the holidays and then told the leader it would be okay, that she would have the weight back off by the end of FEBRUARY. I told her (my leader) I'll have this weight off in 2 weeks. I could be extreme and get it off in a week... but I'm not willing to starve myself. I do like food too much for that!
I didn't bother getting a sub tonight... there's too many things in my fridge I need to eat up!

In a final ditch effort to see what I can lose before the dreaded WI tomorrow, I have eaten less today. Partially intentional... but partially because my alarm clock appears to be on vacation still and did not wake me up this morning, so I didn't have time to make lunch. Here's what I mean:
BF = ff cottage cheese orchard fruit (2) - you know the singles containers you can buy of cottage cheese and fruit? now they finally have one with FF COTTAGE CHEESE! It's soooo yummy! I bought a pkg of 4 and FULLY intend on buying a BUNCH more!
Lunch = french onion cup a soup (2). yep. that was my whole lunch.
Snack = 1/2 tbsp light garden cream cheese (1), 3 low fat triscuits (1)
Dinner = broccolini (0), carrots (0), ff sour cream dip (1), cucumber and grape tomatoes (0), 1/2c ff cottage cheese (2), 2 baby dills (0), 60g allegro cheese (2). TWO jello pudding cups (2), TWO candy canes (2). Apple (1).
Snack = organic pear (1), all bran bites (1)
Here's my dinner (the cheese did not make it into the photo. It was actually consumed while I was steaming the broccolini)
While I'm here. Has anyone heard of weightview.com? A website you can submit a photo of yourself and they'll send you an email back showing you how you'll look 5-50lbs lighter. I submitted a photo and requested to see what I'd look like 50lbs lighter. Here's what they came up with:
Does anyone else think I look like some top-heavy football player? It looks terrible! Man, I better lose some boobs when this weight comes off. I don't want to look like that photo!!! (but it's not enough to stop me from losing weight of course!) Also, I don't have any CURVES in the photo. They cropped down my stomach but didn't give me a waist... I'm glad that site is free!

I hope everyone had a safe new years... and now, on to the year ahead! So far 2008 has been a productive year for me (think I can keep it up?). I have spent the entire day taking down decorations and cleaning (and yet have sooooo much more cleaning to do... as well as unpacking from Christmas yet!).
My food is officially BACK ON TRACK. It was a rough week... but it's time to recover. So, let's get right into what we're all here for. MENU CHALLENGE!
Breakfast: Quaker Weight Control oatmeal, maple and brown sugar (2pts - in the states it's 3pts, but here it's only 2!)
Snack: 2 baby dills (0)
Lunch: 2pc ww toast (1) w/ 1/2c FF cottage cheese (2) and grape tomato (0), 8 PC organic baby carrots (0), radishes (0), 2tbsp ff sour cream and onion dip (1), 1c broccolini and garlic (0), 2 baby dills (0), apple (1), no sugar added chocolate jello pudding cup (1)
Dinner: more broccolini (0), ww bagel (2), ff cheese slice (1), morningstar farms tomato and basil pizza burger pattie (3? i forget right now!). source yogurt (1).
Snack during biggest loser (planned): all bran bites (1), pudding cup (1), dessert tea (0)
*I know I haven't eaten all of my points today, but I've been busy cleaning and didn't snack and actually am not that hungry. I probably ate more than enough over the holidays that it all balances out now anyway*
Where are you Tara? I'm watching for your return to the blogisphere and getting back on track!!
ETA - I went on the treadmill tonight! I felt tired from cleaning all day but remembered I have told myself even when I'm tired I MUST go on... even if just walking fast on an incline for 30min (which is exactly what I did). I'm going to have to do that tomorrow as well until I can get out and get some treadmill oil for the track!
