Well, I was down 4.2lbs!! So, I've lost all but 0.4 of the pounds I gained over the past 2 weeks. I think I have The Biggest Loser DVD to thank!
This morning, despite my very sore and pained legs (thanks Bob Harper!), I still went on the treadmill for just 30min. I think my new love/hate relationship will be with "jumping lunges" - those things are killer!
Here's what I've had today:
BF - egg (2), cottage cheese (2)
Lunch - bagel (2), granola bites (2)
Dinner - SUBWAY (12), 100 cal (2), cadbury thins (2)
That's it, I'm DONE for the day! No more eating!!!
Tara - I found the hot pepper relish beside the regular relish at Loblaws! It's by bicks, it's in a clear jar and it looks red. It was good... and quite a kick it has to it!!

I think this DVD set was a good investment and well worth the whole $20!
Today was another day spent in training... complete with exam at the end of the day. Tomorrow it's back to the office but my day will focus on a health and safety inspection of the place.
Here's what I ate today:
BF = oatmeal (2), 1 tbsp light JIF (2)
Snack = vitalicious muffin (1)
Lunch = salad (0) with egg (2), cheese (1), balsamic spritzer (0). yogurt (1), apple (1)
Dinner = chicken breast (3), cheese (1), steamed vegetables with hot pepper relish (0), baby potatoes (2). applesauce (1). fibre 1 bar peanut butter (3)
* I had left room for a snack during big brother... but felt too sick after my biggest loser workout!*

Exercise was not happening today. I had to leave for work an hour earlier today (and tomorrow) because I'm in training for 2 days to become the certified Joint Health and Safety rep at my office... which means NO exercise in the morning. I wanted to do the biggest loser workout tonight... but I had to work from home for one of my part time jobs. Tomorrow I hope to make a few calls for parent groups, get that done and over with... and get the biggest loser workout done!
Here's what I ate today:
BF - ww bagel (2) - psst, I'm officially out of US bagels. That is okay - more room in my tiny freezer!. 1/2 tbsp light JIF (1), all bran bites (1)
Lunch - salad (0), egg (2), turkey bacon (1), allegro cheese (1), balsamic spritzer (0), yogurt (1), apple (1), 100 calorie pack (2)
Snack - jello (0), carrots (0), hummus (1), ww bread (1), 1 tbsp salsa cream cheese (1)
Dinner - ww bagel (2), morningstar farms spicy black bean burger (2), cheese slice (1), blue menu ketchup (0), ff cottage cheese and fruit cup (2), fibre 1 bar (2)

Snack - dill pickles (0)
Dinner - salad (0) with 1/2c chick peas (2), 1/2 hard boiled egg (1), allegro cheese (1), 2 tbsp ff ranch (1), yogurt (1), SF jello (0), apple (1)
I'm going to eat flatout bread every day right now I think because I'm going with one of my bride friends to pick up her dress in the states on March 16... along with more SHOPPING!!

My week off is over after today... but also, my WW vacation is OVER. Today it is back to the grind. This week it is back to morning jogs... it is back to tracking what I eat.
I'm so over getting on the scale and it being up every single DAY and me not caring... and not tracking what I eat. I know what this leads to (I'm seeing it first hand all over again).
That is it. Today I commit to getting back to daily blogging, tracking everything I eat, and back to exercise.
After all, not only do I have TWO weddings I'm in come September... ANOTHER friend just got engaged and is looking at a fall wedding!!! If ever I should have motivation, it is now.
Today I am back to being a loser... every single day! Today I plan to eat well and exercise... as well as run some errands. I will be back later to update what I have eaten and what I did to exercise!
What I ate today:
BF - flatout wrap (1), 1tbsp light cheez whiz (1), 1 hard boiled egg with only 1/2 the egg white (1), 2 slices turkey bacon (1), apple (1)
Snack while grocery shopping - cadbury thins with almonds (2)
Lunch - salad (0) with lobster meat stuff (2), cheese (1), 3 tbsp ff italian (0), 3 dill pickles (0), SF pudding (1), 100cal (2)
Snack (again!) - SF pudding (1), SF jello (0), 100 cal x2 (4)
Dinner (planned) - grilled balsamic mushrooms (0), kale (0), salmon fillet (2), 100cal (2)
None yet (but that will change by the end of the day!)

... that's not going to happen this week. I haven't worked hard enough and I didn't resist enough temptations on the weekend (given my lack of activity). I am also dealing with bloatedness tonight... even if i weren't bloated I would be up... but being bloated is definitely not helping matters!
Today I went on the treadmill, went to sickkids with stac and her little princess, left there and came up to costco.... stac and i both bought the biggest loser dvd set AND bought a box of chocolate bars each (100 cal coffee crisps AND almond thins), then divided them up to get 12 of each. We've made a pact that we won't eat more than 2 chocolate bars a week (i will use this blog as evidence of said pact). we then went to mongolian grill for dinner... i resisted all chinese/fried foods. i had grilled chicken and vegetables... NO carbs (except the FRUIT i had for dessert)... and seaweed salad. my only concern is the teriyaki sauce and the amount of sodium in it... oh well. what's done is done! i'm already just moving on to next week.
since i'm off work tomorrow (i'm on "vacation" this week, but only have tomorrow to myself... friday i'm working at sickkids and possibly doing cpr all bloody weekend... although i may put that off until march), i'm going to work my butt off for a last chance workout before weigh in. chances are i will be up... but it will still help me prepare for next week's WI!

I've been in Pontypool since Saturday. While my food was actually not so bad, my inactivity wasn't great. Sunday was supposed to be a family gathering... but thanks to freezing rain all day and a strike on my family's neck of the woods... my aunt's road was a sheer skating rink. We (mom, dad, kristen, michele, simon, and myself) got about 3 car lengths down the road and realized we never stood a chance making it safely over any hills... so we turned around and went all the way back to Pontypool (we had made it to just north of Cameron!).
I allowed myself 1 piece of cake, and about a million of those lemon whip cream cheese cupcakes.
I did, however, get to see my wonderful nephew (that makes TWICE that I have seen him since Christmas... it sucks they live so far away!).
So, now I'm back. I did 1 tae-bo DVD this afternoon and went on the treadmill for 30min. I'll have to step it up tomorrow and Thursday to get myself ready for WI on thursday!
I'll be back to posting my menus tomorrow!! Tara has inspired me to get back to eating healthier!!! Tomorrow I'm gone to SickKids with Stac and Raven (poor Raven, there is always something wrong with that girl... Maybe because she was a premie? who knows!). She is fine, she has to have testing done to be sure (she's seeing endocrine). I think Thursday I'll make a grocery list and a plan of attack for next week... and conquer all!
I was at costco on friday and bought the Tae Bo DVD set... now I think I might like to go back and buy the Biggest Loser dvd set they had there too. I'll think about that one!!!

I've been a pig who exercised today, that's the bottom line.
I think I didn't eat enough during the day and was starving tonight. My day started by sleeping in and not going on the treadmill (hell, after my drive home last night... i felt getting sleep was a priority). I went to work and resisted the cupcakes I took in for a birthday celebration. I came home and ate dinner... and kept eating... and kept eating. I went on the treadmill for an hour. Now here we are.
Here's what I've eaten:
BF - weight control oatmeal (2) with flaxseed (0)
Lunch - romaine (0), 1/2c chick peas (2), allegro cheese 30 g(1), vegetables (0), 3 tbsp ff italian (0). yogurt (1), pear (1), cup of soup (1)
Dinner - flatout bread (1), egg (2), 2 egg whites (0), 2 tbsp light cream cheese (1), steamed broccoli and peas (0),fibre 1 bar (2)... ANOTHER fibre 1 bar (2)... 100 calorie cookies (2), granola bites (2), crispy delights (2)... and finally 100 cal hostess cakes (2).
I saw in my SHAPE magazine there are new hostess cake (100 cal) flavours in the states! 2 kinds of muffins and a coffee cake!
Tomorrow Alex is coming with me to weigh in and we are going out for a valentine's dinner (hopefully at mongolian grill). I'm not sure if I'll weigh in or not tomorrow... we'll see how I feel come tomorrow afternoon!!!!

I hate the drivers here when there is lot's of snow. My 1hr drive to my parent group tonight took 1.5hrs... oh well. my drive home? i'm too exhausted to type out how exciting it was... almost NOT making it up the hills... being stuck on the DVP because cars couldn't make it up the hill... my gas light on... my side street adventures to find a gas station.... my freaking TWO AND A HALF HOUR DRIVE HOME. I just got home before 10pm. I'm tired and NOT in a good mood! At least my parent group is done and I am FREE on Tuesdays!
Here's what I ate today:

I had more to eat for dinner but it was too crazy trying to eat while driving in that bad weather... and on the way home was even worse. now i have a headache and am exhausted... so eating is not in the cards right now.
I hope hump day is okay for everyone!!! it has GOT to be better than today for crying out loud!!! Only 2 more days until i have a whole WEEK off (it could be week off if i wasn't working at sickkids!!).

So, in an effort to stop dwelling on the weekend and move forward... i won't go over what i ate and how horrible i was at lack of activity this weekend. here's how today went. I got on the treadmill this morning (although could have worked harder)... and then here's what I ate:
BF - oatmeal (2)
Snack - spoonful of cream cheese frosting - oops. (2)
Lunch - flatout bread with salsa and cheese slice (3), ff cottage cheese and fruit cup (2), chicken noodle cup a soup (1), pear (1), granola bites (2)
Snack - 100 cal cookies (2), yogos (2)
Dinner - salad with tuna (1) and cheese (1), kalamata olives (1), ff italian 3tbsp (0), yogurt (1), apple (1)
Man, I better work hard the rest of the week... but when you step on the scale today and you're 6lbs heavier than you were on friday.. it's discouraging (i always tend to go up a few pounds over the weekend and lose it by thursday... but this is more than a few pounds!).
onwards and upwards from here... right?

Here's what I ate yesterday:
BF - 2/3c smart bran (1), 8 almonds (1), 20 g raisins (1), 1/2c skim milk (1)
Lunch - salad with veggies (0), cheese (1), tuna (1), hellmans spritzer (0), apple (1), yogurt (1), yogos watermelon flavour (2)
Snack - cadbury thins with ALMONDS - a new kind of cadbury thins for me! (2)
Dinner - salad with egg, but I took out half the egg white (1), cheese (2), kalamata olives (1), croutons (2), 3 tbsp ff italian (0), 6 slices edge veggie (6)
Snack (during Paradise Hotel with Alex!)- sour patch kids (3)
Today's plan is (in no particular order) - cleaning, baking cupcakes and cake, treadmill, quality time on my couch with chick flicks! I've already been grocery shopping (i love going first thing in the morning before it gets busy).
So far today I've had (and I will update throughout the day):
BF - strawberries and pineapple (1), ww bagel (2), 1 tbsp light jif PB (2)
With any luck... I'll be at my goal weight and look like this for Tara's wedding!!:

I was down 1.0lb!
Totally surprising... I always try to guage in the mornings how I will likely do by the evening... Today I was 0.2lb heavier than last Thursday morning... that's why I got on the treadmill AND went walking in the Oshawa Centre on my lunch... it seems to have worked!
now, this weekend I have to be GOOD and be ACTIVE so I don't have to worry so much by next Thursday!
The good news is, I have now lost a total of 70.2lbs since starting WW!
So, I wish Tara and I:
Tara - have fun tonight!!! and TOMORROW!!! i want details this weekend!!
I will be back with the results tonight... although I don't think they are favourable this week unfortunately.
PS - I DID go on the treadmill this morning for a half hour jog! (my last ditch effort... but I am still pessimistic today)

So, today I woke up with my neck feeling more stiff than yesterday and the pain was into my sinuses and down into my back... so, no treadmill. I didn't feel like going to work and sitting at a desk all day... but I knew that if I called in sick it would look like I was calling in only because of the weather - so I trudged on into the office, heating pad in tow. I kept the heating pad on my neck all afternoon and low and behold - my neck feels much better tonight. Soooo... after my LONG 1hr drive home (thanks to the snow storm), I ate dinner and went on the treadmill for a ONE HOUR JOG! yay! I don't think I'm down my 0.8lbs this week, thanks to my poor choices on the weekend AND my inactivity this week... but if i'm not, so be it - I will next week!

Today did NOT start off with me going on the treadmill. I had a bad dream in the night and woke up not feeling well (periodically I get dreams where people are trying to kill me... bizarre). This morning I still woke up early, but then started to feel sick after I ate breakfast. PLUS I have a stiff neck for some reason. I'm banking on it being gone by tomorrow and the treadmill happening again... because I NEED to lose 0.8lbs this week!!! I'm thinking a jog tomorrow morning and a longer walk tomorrow night (we'll see how that pans out... you know me... big dreamer!).
Due to not feeling the greatest today, I didn't eat much... I had to force myself to eat when my stomach growled (but would regret eating about 30min later!).

This is me today:
I did get on the treadmill today... but I know I could have worked harder. I then went to work, listened to people whine and complain... then met Alex after work for a candy-run to Shopper's (for him, not me!), then came home and made my lunch and dinner for tomorrow's long day.
Here's what I ate today (I cut back today to try to accomodate for how much I ate on the weekend... may not be smart, but it helped me keep my sanity):
BF - 2/3c smart bran (1), 1/2c milk (1), 20 g raisins (1)
Lunch - gardennay soup, 1c (2), 1/2 c ff cottage cheese and fruit (2), ww bagel (2), 2 tbsp lactantia spinach and feta cream cheese (1)
Snack - carrots (0), Wendy and Barb's Skinny Dips Baba Ganosh, 2 tbsp (1), cup a soup spring vegetable (1)
Dinner - 1/2c chick peas (2), allegro cheese (1), cucumbers and grape tomatoes and red peppers and green onion (0), 3 tbsp ff italian (0), apple (1), 100 calorie doritos (2)

so, Friday was spent eating way too much and baking 4 dozen cupcakes for the engagement party.
Saturday I went on the treadmill and then we went to mom and dad's for dinner with them and Kristen... then off to the engagement party.
Today was spent being LAZY and STILL eating too much. I did some cleaning and grocery shopping... and otherwise have been on the couch.
I've eaten far too much to be able to post what I've had... let's just say, I really want to lose 0.8lbs at LEAST this week and i'm DEFINITELY NOT on my way to accomplishing that at this point. It was a tough weekend... but I can still get myself on track for the rest of the week and hopefully still pull off a lose. It will mean treadmill every morning... but it will be worth it.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and has a wonderful week! My busy weekend is over and I'll be back to posting every day (including MENUS!!!)
