Good Luck

Well, tomorrow officially begins the new week. I need luck tonight, but not for my week... My Poppa Jim is at the hospital right now. He was disorganized and incoherant today. He fell yesterday in the snow when he went to get the mail) and couldn't get up... a neighbour finally saw him and tried to help but couldn't, she left to go get someone else to help... they couldn't' get him up... they went to get younger people to try to help lift/carry him... when they got back, someone else driving by had seen him lying in the snow and was able to help him. I have no idea how long my poor 79yr old Poppa Jim was lying in the snow... so, tonight he was incoherant and not making sense. The ambulance was called and he's at the hospital. They think he might just have a fever and they are doing bloodwork. That's all we know right now. My Uncle Danny and a couple of cousins (andrew and mathew) are staying with grandma tonight... i don't know if she realizes what is going on really (her dementia is progressing), but they are keeping her busy playing cards. At this moment I feel optimistic... time will tell. All I know is I don't feel ready for a repeat of 3 years ago (3 years ago this March and April... Tara, you remember what I'm talking about... you were on the "frontlines"!!).

Anyway... I'm just getting that off my chest. I'm going to try not to let it interfere with my efforts this week!!!! I'll feel better if I at leat have control over my weight loss. Regardless of the challenges I (or my family face) this year... there are good things to come as well!! Chin up young person (I'm the young person!). But, if anyone feels like saying a prayer or some sort of prayer equivalent for my Poppa Jim and grandma... I would appreciate it tonight :)
