My Skinny Girl Margarita Review

Look what my sister brought me home from Chicago!

I have been wanting to try Skinnygirl Margarita.  Ironically enough, the weekend my sister brought me one… they became available in Ontario(at the LCBO).

I put it in my fridge for a few days and decided to try it last weekend.  I am sorry to say, I was a little disappointed.  I think it could be a good drink to sip very slowly over ice, but for someone like me who doesn’t have a very refined taste for alcohol, I needed to make some modifications.  I found it strong and bitter tasting as is.

Enter lemon juice

I needed fizz.  Enter pop.

THIS made the drink swell.  I rather enjoyed it and after only 2 drinks I was feeling pretty fine.

Overall, my drinks ended up tasking great.  Jury is still out on if I’ll buy more though.

Hmm....I have been wanting to try this. Is it a drink on its own or a mix? I saw they have a Sangria...could be better :)

I love the Skinnygirl Margarita. I take 4.5 oz of it, put it into a blender with 1 cup of ice and 1 generous handful of strawberries. I blend it all together and DELICIOUS! It's a light refreshing strawberry margarita. My favorite!!!

One more ingredient on the strawberry margarita, you can add one packet of splenda or 1 packet of sugar (it's still a much, much, much lower calorie drink than a regular margarita even with 1 packet of sugar but I tried it with splenda and it's great also)
