1 down…

… 364 to go!

Welcome 2011.  Nice to see you.  Nice of you to provide me with a new start to what is surely to be a great year!

I hope everyone had exactly the New Years Eve they wanted (whether that be partying it up or going to bed early and getting a full night’s sleep).  My night involved going to Jessica's house.  There was some Wii playing, a lot of wine drinking, crazy amounts of food and some great company.  Unfortunately, no pictures.  We were home some time before 1am and had some ‘wind down’ time before going to bed around 1:30.

Today’s food wasn’t exactly the picture of great health, but it was in moderation and I stayed within my calorie goal (thanks to My Fitness Pal app).  My cousin, her husband and their 2 kids (ages 9yrs and 7yrs) came to finally see our house (yes, we have had the house almost 3 months now and they are just getting to see it).  We had a great visit and the kids had a lot of fun playing Wii and just visiting with us (their kids are so great… their son cleaned up after dinner without anyone asking him).

It would appear what I need to work on is taking some food pictures to share! I didn’t get my camera out even once today.

I can TELL you what I ate though. We wanted to order something in that the kids would like… so we went with Domino's.  I had 3 pieces of thin crust pizza with chicken, pineapple and mushroom.  There was 1 piece of cheese bread and 1 “cinnastix”.  It was all followed by about 1.5c of orange pineapple fluff.

Here’s what else I ate…

Breakfast: 2pc Country Harvest prairie bran toast, 2tsp light Becel

Lunch: 1 small piece of Alex’s breaded fish, 1 small peanut butter & chocolate square

Dinner… pizza!

Another day I wish share with you the recipe for the orange pineapple fluff.  It’s a great Weight Watchers friendly recipe!

Happy 2011!

May it be filled with plenty of yummy healthy food…

And even more joy (this is a photo of Simon looking at a kite in the sky back in the fall… he is my joy.  Along with his baby sister, Ivy – who I haven’t met yet)…

I had to ease back into it yesterday too. Sounds like you made the best of it though and moderation is key!
