It’s a technological MIRACLE!

So, a couple of months ago the mouse on my laptop stopped working. I plugged a mouse in to the side of it and just kept using the extra mouse until I could call someone like the Geek Squad and get it fixed. Today, on a whim, I unplugged the mouse and for some reason the laptop mouse is working! Crazy miracle!

Big OOPS!

Hmmm… I hit a bit of a speed bump on my quest to beat Lynn to 25lbs lost!

I was up 4lbs tonight!  Oh boy, did I deserve that!

Onward and upward downward from here!

Next week is going to consist of week 2 of the couch to 5K, 0pt Weight Watcher soup and back to tracking everything!

In hindsight, I probably shouldn’t have eaten 2 handfuls of these before weigh in:

point wise they aren’t SO bad… but the sodium likely didn’t help me at the scale. But MAN, they are tasty! Thank goodness I shared them and they are gone already.

I don’t eat beef but I do enjoy some turkey jerky every now and again. When I came across these, I knew I had to grab them. They are SO YUMMY. If you like jerky and chicken wing flavour you will like these! I ate a few right after weigh in… and because I had my camera in my purse, I sneakily tried to take a picture!

Tonight was a free sample night at my Weight Watcher meeting. Meet the red velvet thingy:

To be honest, it was pretty darn good. The inside was chewy and sweet. I don’t know that I’ll be buying any… but I did enjoy it!

When I got home tonight I enjoyed my turkey sub. I haven’t taken pictures in a LONG time of my favourite sub… so tonight I did. Check out the PICKLES!

Yesterday a lady at work brought in her new little puppy for a visit. She’s only 8 week sold and SO CUTE! I got to hold her and was so glad I had my camera with me. I really have to start taking my camera with me every day!

So… on to the weekend and TRACKING everything!  Get ready… next week I’m going to seriously kick some (fat)ass!

Has anyone made the 0pt WW soup? I haven’t… this weekend is going to be the first time!

The time has come...

Well, it's about that day of the week. Weigh in day. Results will NOT be favourable. I woke up with "gastro" issues this morning. I feel okay now, but a c25k was not happening this morning. I have decided I'm still recovering from last weekend's busy-ness and indulgences. My body isn't so happy with me. Week 2 of the Couch to 5K will begin promptly this weekend. I can't wait to try it out.

I really don't even WANT to go to weigh in tonight... but I will. I mean, I bought a 6 month pass so essentially I've already paid for tonight... so I really should go.

I will go... and stay for the meeting... and plot my loss for next week. I mean, I'm sure I'm not the ONLY one who has gained weight this week. I may be the only one who expects a good 5lb gain though. Oops!

Okay, I have sufficiently killed 5min before my 12pm appt. Happy Thursday to all. Woohoo, tomorrow is FRIDAY (my apologies to those who don't work Monday to Friday and can't get excited about Friday tomorrow).

Challenge extended. Challenge accepted.

So, the other day I opened my big mouth and basically extended a challenge to Lynn where I felt I could lose 25lbs before she did.  I just caught up on the comments of that post where Lynn has responded with “BRING IT”.  Dear Lynn…. it has been brought!  Heehee!

Crap.  What have I just gotten myself in to?  Judging by her blog (and you SHOULD READ IT!) she ROCKED her weigh in this week.  I, however, am gearing up for a gain.  My ticker is going to move in the opposite direction this week. It’s okay. I’m already plotting my move for the big loss NEXT week. 

The last 2 days have been a bit trying between Chicklet and I both having vet/doctor appointments. All has turned out well with Chicklet… and now I must wait 2 weeks to find out if I’m okay.  I’m a bit scared tonight… but I’ll be fine by tomorrow. 2 weeks will fly by!  So, I woke up with a huge headache today and felt exhausted from the weekend.  I planned to do week 2 of the Couch to 5K this morning, but felt awful so it didn’t happen.  I figured I’d get it done tonight but my headache isn’t gone… so, I will rest and get at it tomorrow. I’m excited to start week 2 though!!

Today’s food has been wonky thanks to not having an appetite until this evening. I’m going to be HONEST with you though and show you what I hate (no pictures though… sorry! They will start again tomorrow!)

Breakfast: Kashi trail mix bar (3)

Snack: frozen mango and blueberries – LOVE THIS FRUIT SNACK! (2)

Lunch: spinach salad with only tomato and cucumber (0).  Also had 4tbsp of Renee's Wellness Tuscan Garden dressing (0).  If you haven’t tried this dressing yet you MUST try it.  It is like bruschetta on your salad and it’s only 3cal in 1tbsp. Hello love!  Salad was followed by another Kashi trail mix bar (3)

Snack was 12 sun rype mini bites (1)

Dinner… ahhh dinner… I’m stressed, I’m sad, I’m hungry, I’m not hungry… I want sweets, I want sleep, I want salty… I settled at first on Kashi toasted berry crisp (3) with unsweetened vanilla almond breeze (1)… then had some old cheddar (2)… then had Kashi vanilla shredded wheat (4) with more UVAB (1)… then had some jalapeno pringles stix (2) and a Weight Watcher bagel (2) with light cream cheese (1)… and that is where I have STOPPED.

Total… looks like 25pts.  Oops.

I need more water tonight. 
Happy Hump day to all!  I don’t know about you… but I can’t wait for the weekend!

Thursday night: Alex and I went to the Leafs game (I think that’s where my blog left off, isn’t it? I don’t remember!)

Friday: Up and at ‘em bright and early. Packed up, headed to parents’ house in the country for a day of baking, cooking, egg decorating and cleaning… then a late night run to Shopper’s Drug Mart

Home sweet home!

Saturday consisted of getting up early and helping prepare for my mom’s family to come over for our annual outdoor egg hunt and Easter dinner. I wish I could tell you I took food photos… but I didn’t!

Can you spot the eggs in the tree? We hide plastic eggs filled with candy… but my sister’s boyfriend decided to head outside with chocolate eggs before the family came. These are the clever places he hid them.

I got to see my family, play with my nephew… and hold my cousin’s 2 month old baby girl. She’s so sweet.

Sunday morning was just us… and opening Easter baskets and finding the Easter eggs. Check out my basket (yes, the Easter bunny still comes to me. My parents refuse to accept their girls are growing up… and I have no problem with it!)

The afternoon was spent outside in the sun… taking more pictures of my nephew!! He will be 3yrs old on June 22.  Tell me he isn’t the sweetest thing!  (Just kidding – don’t tell me that. I don’t want to hear it!! heehee!)

Monday was spent taking Chicklet to the vet, visiting a friend, doing laundry, packing up and making the 45min drive back to my place from my parents’ house. By the time I got home I was BEAT and basically went straight to bed. 

All in all I didn’t do great this weekend. Lots of walking and being outside, no serious cardio… and far too much indulging. I’m shaping up for a gain this week, but I’ll just plug away and prepare for a loss the next week!

The return of the ticker… and weigh in results!

First things first… Went to weigh in last night. Down 1.8lbs!  Better than a kick in the butt… and the start of more losses to come.

For those of you not reading this in Google Reader… you may notice my ticker is back.  I took it off a while ago when I was tired of the daily reminder of my struggles… the ticker was not going down.  I have decided I want it back. I’m going to watch it progress to my goal!

A while ago Lynn posted about her goal to '>lose 25lbs.  While I’m not brave enough to post a photo of my weight at this time, I can tell you that I, too would like to lose 25lbs.  I have set my ticker to reflect that.  I am currently 25lbs higher than my lowest weight watcher weight about a year ago. Yup, life happens, you lose motivation… and weight creeps back up.  So… I’m with Lynn on the 25lbs.

Here’s the thing… between thee and me… I think Lynn is a super sweetheart and VERY motivating (hello, read her blog)… BUT, I want lose 25lbs quicker than her :) (in a HEALTHY, realistic way of course).  Yep, that’s my challenge to myself.  Now I’ve put it in writing.  Sorry Lynn… I need a little healthy, friendly competition motivation and you’re just the ticket!!

I hope this doesn’t sound mean…  I mean it all in fun and I’m just using it as motivation for myself!  Of course, I will be beyond happy for BOTH of us when we reach that 25lb goal!

Okay, now to pack and head to my parents’ house for Easter.  I am planning to follow the Easter RULES from last year.  If you check out all of my April posts from last year, you’ll find the Easter weekend progress in there.  I’m not sure which activity I’ll get in at this point, but I’ll find some!  It’s BEAUTIFUL weather here this weekend and we are facing RECORD high temps!

Last year at Easter was the last time I saw my wonderful Grandma. I can’t believe it. She passed away suddenly less than 2 months later.  She was a wonderful lady who I was very close to and adored more than life itself… and I am happy to report I can now (finally) look at this photo (the last one I have of her) and smile.
