I am loving my vacation so far! I still have tons of things to keep me busy, but at least it's nice NOT to have to worry about going to work on top of it all! I think after this fall I will have bridesmaid withdrawal!
Today I ran out and got a few things for the bridal shower I'm throwing on the 20th (July) and a few things I needed for this Wednesdays cake class... Otherwise I sat around on the couch enjoying some quality time with my TV. I did attempt the treadmill today... but it's making an odd squeaking/grinding noise when I step down with my left foot. I tried to figure out what was making the noise... but it only makes it when I run... and I can't run and be down on the ground beside the treadmill at the same time (believe me, I tried it... and almost broke my neck!). So, this evening I decided I wanted SOMETHING positive to report in my blog and I broke out the biggest loser workout. What's funny is I had actually decided today maybe I should focus on the biggest loser workout. I think I was seeing more weight loss results when I did it more often in the past. I think it challenges me more than I challenge myself on the treadmill. I have also decided to set my alarm tomorrow in case I get enough courage to jog in public around my big block... but we will see!
Today's Summary:
Breakfast - 1c shreddies (2), 1/3c smart bran (0), flax seed (0), 1c skim milk (2)
Lunch - 1/2c couscous (2), 1/2c chick peas (2), celery and onion (0), curry powder (0), blue menu butter chicken sauce, 2tbsp (1), 2tbsp ff sour cream dip (1), broccoli (0), TWO no sugar added puddings (2)
Snack - peanut butter crispy delights (2), ww cookie (1)
Dinner - 2 ww tortillas (2), cheese slices (2), salsa (0), steamed chicken breast (3), steamed garlic spinach (0), ff cottage cheese and fruit cup (2), yogurt (1)

Tomorrow's goal: 50min biggest loser cardio max, plus another cardio (dancing, jogging, rollerblading - if I can find somewhere flat and isolated to go!)

The Time Has Come...
...for a CHANGE! It was time to make over my blog and give it a fresh look. The past week FLEW by and I didn't commit my time here like I had hoped. I was up 0.4lbs on Thursday and have finally changed my ticker to reflect my regression as of late. One of my bridesmaid dresses has come in and I like it. It doesn't show too much cleavage after all (thank god) except for the fact that it's a couple of sizes too large in the chest and is falling off... once I have it taken in it will be much better!
Yesterday was a day all to myself. Something I haven't had since... I don't remember. I went grocery shopping and then spent the rest of the day on the couch. I was a sloth. I ate anything and everything. Today the scale shows it! I did make some healthy choices yesterday though... like my quesadilla. 2 WW tortillas with TONS of peppers (red, orange and yellow), onion, celery and allegro cheese... baked in the oven. I've also made some couscous and steamed some chicken breasts and cut up my watermelon... I'm ready for the week! I also happen to have the whole week off work... I am taking a 2hr cake course on Wednesday but otherwise - BIGGEST LOSER WORKOUT and TREADMILL - here I come!!
Today I've had a "healthy delite" thingy I found at Fortinos. It's essentially a quiche made with egg whites, potato and broccoli or spinach. It's 2 WW points (as per the box!). They have a website ( http://www.healthy-delites.net i believe) but there isn't anything on it. It would be just as easy to make something similar at home. Now I'm going to do the Biggest Loser cardio workout and then alex and i are going for SUSHI and then to the Imax at Ontario Place to see a movie about the great lakes (I live 2min from Ontario Place yet we have not gone to the IMax at all together!).
Today's Summary:
Breakfast - egg quiche thingy (2), ONTARIO strawberries and raspberries (1), watermelon (0)
Lunch - sushi (8), hand rolls (4), miso soup (1), mango ice cream (2?)

Sleepless in Toronto...
I'm in my room while my baby sister is asleep on my couch. I hope she's asleep. I keep wanting to check on her but I know I have to leave her alone in case she is sleeping. I have decided I got the worst job out of everyone in this ride of hers... I'm the one who has to get her to the starting line... and I'm the one who has to send her out onto the scary road to bike away... when right now all I want to do is lock her up here where i KNOW SHE IS SAFE!!! This is going to be very hard... letting her hit the open road with a bunch of people she doesn't know. Who will take care of my baby sister without me or my parents around? This isn't good... maybe I will drive behind her the whole way and yell at anyone who comes to close to her. I think that is a lovely solution and she will LOVE ME for it!
Yes, I have issues! No wonder it's so hard for parents to let their children grow up... I can't seem to stop taking care of my baby sister!! I'm actually sitting here with some tears in my eyes thinking of having to watch her leave tomorrow and hoping she'll be okay and worrying she'll need something along the way and I won't be there for her!
Okay, enough of that! In happier news... I'll be spending the rest of the day/afternoon with Simon and Michele at least... AND baking/decorating cakes. What a perfect day, really! (We just all need to cross our fingers for good weather for Kristen!).
I've done well with my eating today I would say... As well I got on the treadmill for 45min today!

Good Luck (and results)
Decided to bring back a classic and post the four leaf clover to tell us all GOOD LUCK today! I'll be back with the results later... for now I am going on the treadmill for a bit.
I'm back... The results are in. I stayed the same. So much work this week! Although, I am bloated and should feel glad I stayed the same... and it is motivating me to keep going at it and next week I. WILL. BE. DOWN.
This weekend is about to be extremely busy... tomorrow mom, dad and kristen are coming for dinner with alex and i... kristen is staying over. i have to have kristen to the CNE grounds for 6am as she is starting her ride to conquer cancer 2 day (200K) bike ride. she will likely take off around 8am and i will head to hamilton to help michele with Simon's birthday cake (and play with my nephew! yay!). I'll come home saturday evening... sunday alex and I will leave for Niagara falls to watch kristen go over the finish line... then we'll have Simon's FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY! He is ONE YEAR OLD on sunday. I can't freaking believe it. It's gone too fast!!!
If I don't post on the weekend... I will on Monday. BUT i will TRY this weekend... I have to make this part of my routine again!

Need... SLEEP!
Going to bed... but trying to make sure I post every day here again so I can REACH GOAL WEIGHT IN 08!!!
Today I got up and weighed myself... bloody higher numbers than yesterday! I know I felt bloated and I know I shouldn't get discouraged... but I did. I'm tired of not losing weight at all... even when I make my full on attempts at it.
I'll still go to WI tomorrow and vow not to get too upset when the scale is likely NOT down... since I do have my period.
Also, I still went on the treadmill... told myself to go only for 30min but still did the full 45min instead.
Food:
BF - cheerios (2), milk (1), flaxseed (1)
Lunch - salad with chick peas (2) and cheese (1), ff italian (1), yogurt (1), watermelon (2), broccoli (0), ff sour cream dip (1)
Snack - tiny piece of fudge (2 - if that, but I will count 2)
Dinner - chicken breast (3), bagel (2), cheese (1), watermelon (2)
Snack - cookie (2), fudge (3 maybe?)
Had cake class tonight... I'm tired. Next week is the final class until I sign up again in the fall... I can't wait! Things are going to be too busy this summer to actually allow me to enjoy more cake classes... 3 solid months is good, now i'm for a little break!

Mind over matter
Well, I did it. I went on the treadmill again for 45min. I just didn't even give myself an option despite being incredibly tired this morning.... and as a result, tired all day long.
Tonight I am baking chocolate chip cookies and fudge for a meeting at work tomorrow.. I must confess I have had 3 cookies plus some cookie dough. The cookies are small and are whole wheat and I used egg beaters instead of eggs and substituted SOME splenda in for sugar... they actually don't taste bad. Next I have to get everything ready for cake class tomorrow. How I long for an evening where I can stay on the couch and not have a million things to do (note to self - must fix jessica's bridal shower invitations tonight as well and mail them tomorrow).
Here's what I ate today:
Breakfast - shreddies (3), milk (1), flaxseed meal (0)
Lunch - tuna (1), cheese (1), vegetables for salad (0), broccoli (0), ff sour cream dip (1), cottage cheese (2), watermelon (1)
Dinner - veggie burger (3), cheese slice (1), low fat fries (2)
Snacking while baking - cookies (5 maybe?)
We'll see how the scale reacts tomorrow. So far I'm on par with last week... which isn't good, I would like to be DOWN!!!

Well, it's a start...
I have to keep this brief... gotta get to bed to get on the treadmill tomorrow yaknow!
Today I went on the treadmill and made my lunches for today and tomorrow... stopped after work to get more fruits and veggies... successful day!
Time to go back to really restricting what i eat... and allowing myself to feel hungry from time to time (or at least what i perceive as feeling hungry... which is usually boredom).
Here's what I ate today:
BF - shreddies (3), milk (1), watermelon (1), flaxseed meal(1)
Lunch - flatout (1), hummus (1), cheese slice (1), lettuce (0), watermelon (1), cottage cheese (2)
Dinner - salad with tuna (1) and allegro cheese (1), ff italian (1), watermelon (2), yogurt (1), ww cookie (1)
Snack - ww cookie (1)
Okay, I am off to bed to get on the treadmill in the AM. NO EXCUSES. NO OTHER OPTIONS. Treadmill or BUST (at the seams no less!)

Enough is ENOUGH!
That is it! I have had enough of this!! (by "this" I mean my pathetic attempt at weight loss lately).
Today was the start of my re-focused journey to losing 20-30lbs prior to the September weddings! (30lbs in like 10 weeks? hmmm... maybe 20lbs)
Alex is on his way to go SHOPPING so i have to keep this brief now.
I managed to get myself on the treadmill today! YAY!
Here's what i ate:
BF - cheerios (2), milk (1)
Lunch - chicken breast (3), veggies and ff sour cream dip (1), berry fruit salad (2)
Snack - ww cookie (IN CANADA NOW!! FOUND THEM AT SOBEYS! 1pt), 100cal pack (2)
Now I'm off to eat a HEALTHY dinner at the food court at the mall (shopping for dad mathews' fathers day gift!).
Tara - I WILL email you! i actually thought i HAD done it but realize i must have dreamt i replied to your last one! (but july 26 works!)

I'm alive...
... I just suck right now.
I got discouraged at the fact that no matter how hard i tried for a couple of weeks, i kept gaining weight. now, i'm lacking motivation.
I've decided this will be my last cake class for a while. I can't keep eating cake batter, icing... and final cake products. i need to focus back on my weight loss journey... and maybe NOT have every evening of the week taken up by something. I'll have an evening (or two) off, can exercise, focus on food... and lose weight... maybe? My body seems to hate me regardless.
I'm not giving up... just having a moment here!
Reaching my final goal before the weddings is a lost cause... I'll set a new goal though. 20-30lbs by September would be nice. We'll see I suppose.
Ugh.
Good luck tomorrow to everyone. I am in for yet another gain.

Sex and the City night!
Today I woke up with a massive headache (as I get older my head can't handle rainy mornings! I HATE IT!). I took advil and laid with a freezer bag of peas on the back of my head. It helped, but not enough for me to go on the treadmill. damn! Tomorrow...
After work my friend and I went to Denny's and then to see Sex and the City. Great movie... even better movie if you've watched the whole series (like I did... like my friend, Jess, and I did all the time when we lived together... Sex and the city marathons all the time). Now I'm home and gotten things ready for cake class tomorrow night... tomorrow morning will be breakfast, treadmill, shower, make lunch and dinner... get my butt out the door to work. Think I can do it? i CAN and WILL!
So, I better get to bed! Here's what I ate today:
BF - cottage cheese and fruit cup (2)
Lunch - salad with cheese (1), too much flipping ff italian drsg (1), strawberries and grapes (2), yogurt (1), veggies and hummus (1)
Dinner @ Denny's - egg beater/veggie/cheese omelette(8), ww toast (2), warm biscuit (4)

The long and the short of it... or just the short of it
I need to take vows and commit to my blog and weight loss journey again. I don't know where the time has gone except to tell you it has gone quickly. I will recap:
Thursday - went to WI, up like 1.8lbs or something. yucky
Friday - Treadmill in AM (YAY), fajitas and BEER after work (Alex needed beer... and I needed to support him and drink with him)
Saturday - I. am. pig. (did not eat a meal saturday, rather snacked all day)
Sunday - grocery shopping, cleaning, baking, eating red velvet cake batter, eating cream cheese frosting (YUMMMMM), worked evening at SickKids
Monday - treadmill and work
Monday's eats:
BF - egg (2), quinoa and cranberries (3)
Lunch - smart ones sante fe rice and beans (6)
Snack - veggies and hummus (1)
Dinner - salad with cheese and chick peas (3), yogurt (1), nectarine (1)
